The value of the chance to participate and the odds of winning the Shootout Event depend on a multitude of factors and cannot be determined with any degree of certainty and no odds or value on such aspect of the Contest shall be ascribed to such portion.

FIRST INTERMISSION SHOOTOUT EVENT:

In addition to the Grand Prize described above, on February 27, 2008 during the first intermission at the Colorado versus Vancouver hockey game (“Game”) at the Stadium the On-Line Grand Prize winner will be required to participate in a shootout event (“Shootout Event”) to have the opportunity to win a combination of or all of the prizes as hereinafter described.

The Grand Prize winner may practice shooting pucks prior to traveling to Vancouver.  No practice, warm up, qualifying or trial shots will be permitted at the Stadium on the day of the Shootout Event.  The Centre Ice Shootout Event as described below will not be considered practice, warm up, qualifying or trial shots. In the event the Grand Prize winner attempts a practice, warm up, qualifying or trial shot at the Game in the Stadium, the Grand Prize winner will be disqualified from having an opportunity to attempt any subsequently planned Shootout Events (as described below) and no other entrant shall be selected.  For each Shootout Event, the pucks will be approved regulation pucks (the “Pucks”) provided by TSN. The regulation Hockey Net will be used as installed at the Stadium with modifications thereto that do not interfere with the ability of a puck to freely enter the net in the same manner as if the modifications were not made (“Hockey Net”). Shooters must wear ice cleats (provided by the Contest Sponsors) and use a Regulation Hockey Stick (“Stick”) (as provided by or approved by the Contest Sponsors) to participate and must attempt all shots with no third party assistance, equipment or machinery of any kind, other than as provided by the Contest Sponsors.   All or a portion of the Shooters’ back foot must be  behind the plane forming the front edge of the Centre Ice or Far Blue Line (as applicable) until after the puck is shot towards the net.

A shot will be deemed to be successful if the puck travels from the hockey stick to any point within the NHL Hockey Net completely across the goal line without stopping, regardless of whether it hits or is hit by another object (e.g. goal post) while in motion.  If a shot stops moving before completely passing across the goal line, then that shot will be deemed unsuccessful, even if it is subsequently propelled into the goal by another puck.  Successful goals that subsequently bounce out of the net for any reason will remain successful but will not be counted twice if propelled back into the goal by another puck.  All pucks will remain where they stop until the final puck has stopped moving.  Any pucks still in motion towards the NHL Hockey Net when the applicable time period expires will be deemed to be unsuccessful shots.  Contest Sponsors, in their sole and absolute discretion shall determine the placement of the Shooters, the placement of the pucks, timing of the shots and any and all other details involved in the Shootout Event. The decisions of the Judges are final in all matters as they relate to this Contest.
